Degree HI (BSc (CS) (HI), BFA (HI) & B.Com (HI))
NISH is the first Institution in the country to propose new degree programmes exclusively for students with hearing impairment. The programmes are BSc (CS) (HI), BFA (HI) & B.Com (HI). The scheme and syllabus have been so designed that there is substantial practical content and less theory. The University of Kerala has given affiliation and would award degree to successful candidates. The program is innovative and is expected to fulfil the long felt dreams of students with hearing impairment for higher education.

Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education (Hearing Impairment) (DECSE(HI))
The Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education (Hearing Impairment),(DECSE(HI)) is a diploma programme introduced by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) from 2001. NISH has been approved as a recognised centre for the conduct of the programme by RCI. The main aim of the programme is to generate qualified professionals for the Early Intervention program. The Early Intervention program which is getting increased attention requires large number of qualified teachers. The successful candidates from the diploma programme will be eligible to be appointed as teachers. RCI will provide the certificate of registration.

Master of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (MASLP)
The Master of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP) is a post graduate level programme affiliated to the University of Kerala and recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The total number of seats is 10. Minimum educational requirement for admission to the programme will be Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from any recognised university with minimum pass percentage as per University norms. The curriculum consists of theory and practical classes in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and allied subjects such as Linguistics, Statistics etc. The total duration of this post graduate degree Program consists of four semesters.

Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)
The Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology is a graduate level programme affiliated to the University of Kerala and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Its main aim is to generate skilled and efficient manpower to work effectively with persons having communication disorders. They have opportunities to work in hospitals, special schools, speech and hearing institutes, hearing instrument manufacturing industry, government and non-government agencies working for the disabled as well as to do independent practice. Excellent opportunities await abroad for higher studies and practice. Successful candidates will be awarded the Bachelor Degree by the University of Kerala.

Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpreting (DISLI)
The Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpreting (DISLI) is a diploma programme introduced by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) from 2002. NISH has been approved as a recognised centre for the conduct of the programme by RCI. The main aim of the programme is to generate qualified and professional interpreters . The successful candidates from the diploma programme will be eligible to be appointed as interpreters. RCI will provide the certificate of registration.
